Project Type: Community Outreach & Education
As part of my effort to bridge the digital divide in underserved areas, I led a grassroots initiative focused on teaching digital literacy to young children. This project empowered kids aged 8–14 with the basic computer skills needed to safely and confidently navigate the digital world.
The program introduced children to essential digital tools through interactive sessions. I covered typing skills, Microsoft Word, internet safety, and responsible tech use in a way that was practical, age-appropriate, and fun. Sessions were hands-on and conversational, encouraging curiosity and creativity while promoting safe digital habits from an early age.
Beyond teaching digital skills, this initiative helped foster a culture of safe and responsible tech use in the community. It also strengthened my communication, mentorship, and curriculum design abilities through regular engagement with young learners and their parents.
